Allison Janney – Screen Zealots

“Minions & Monsters”

Although a truly delightful first half gives way to formulaic animated mediocrity, the movie is uneven but still enjoyable.

A mediocre sci-fi epic that uses big ideas as a stand-in for actual character development. The lack of follow-through is as maddening as it is lazy.

There’s a realism to this story that hits home, especially if you have any personal experience with addicts.

A decent movie with a good story that was inspired by true events, just don’t ask me to have any sympathy towards these privileged sociopaths.

Such a pity that a goldmine of material was so thoroughly wasted.

Overall this mean-spirited biopic didn’t work for me as well as it should’ve.
