A good-natured, family-friendly adventure about a timid boy and his scarf-wearing, singing crocodile.

Like a bad Saturday morning kid’s show that’s corny, goofy, and seems aimed at the younger set. Except for the makeup, costumes, and production design, there is very little for grown-ups to enjoy.

The script was based on a short story and feels like it, mostly because the film seems too vague. It’s open-ended and offers no resolution, which is frustrating as a viewer.
“Smile”
A satisfying genre film that’s well done and scary as hell, even if the evil curse story line has been done many times before.
“Last Seen Alive”
An extremely generic kidnapping thriller that plays like a really lousy episode of “Ozark.”
“A Life on the Farm”
A disturbing, oddball documentary that is a beautiful celebration of an eccentric life well lived.
