Movies like this are a dime a dozen and almost always have the same frustrating, formulaic retelling, but it’s still watchable thanks to Affleck’s decent performance.
This is not a movie for those who don’t already know and love the duo, as inside jokes make up the majority of the scenes. Newbies will get close to nothing out of this, and it’s not good enough to recruit the uninitiated.
When “it’s not that bad” is a sign of quality, it’s time for DC to do better.
