“Arizona” may be lacking in originality but it is thrilling, funny, silly and bloody, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
“Tiempo Compartido (Time Share)”
This is an intriguing film that’s different from much of the work coming out of Mexico. I just wish the project hadn’t hesitated to go a little deeper into the darkness.
“Mandy”
I’ve never taken LSD but now I know what a bad acid trip must feel like thanks to the destined to become a midnight classic, “Mandy.”
“Den of Thieves”
January is the time studios tend to dump their most forgettable, bland rubbish into theaters which makes it all the more surprising that the crime noir “Den of Thieves” is actually a quality heist movie.
“Proud Mary”
I had high hopes for “Proud Mary,” but it disappointed me in every way imaginable.
“The Commuter”
Hardcore Neeson fans will probably find more to like about this film than I did, but I give him major props for playing this with full sincerity.
