If you take away only one thing from this review, make it this: you will not be disappointed with this movie.
“Traffik”
The paint by numbers script is oozing with apathy and the dialogue lifeless, which is made even worse due to the laughably awful performances.
“Wakefield”
“Wakefield” is an ode to discontent and resentment, a story of self reflection that’s as thought provoking as it is imperfect.
“Super Troopers 2”
I think a good measure of a comedy is calculated by how many times it can make me laugh divided by the number of attempts. The majority of the jokes here made me giggle, and some made me roar. I laughed. And I laughed a lot.
“I Feel Pretty”
Here is a comedy with something meaningful to say, a film that asks us all to stop being our own worst critics, to stop hating our real and imagined flaws, and to be kind to each other.
“Tomb Raider”
I love the idea of a strong female driven action / adventure series and Vikander is a fantastic choice to play Lara, but this uninspired origin story swiftly wears thin and settles itself into a long loop of repetition.
