There’s a positive message and admirable ambition at the heart of the film, and it’s hard to criticize that.

Everything about this film hits the right notes, and it is one of the very best I have seen this year.
“The Girl in the Spider’s Web”
This edgy tale of female empowerment may be just what we need right now in this age of the “Me Too” movement. I wouldn’t call this movie fun, but it certainly seduced me.
“Widows”
After all the pointless plot twists, gross overacting, and irritating visuals, all that’s left is a jumbled, disappointing mess of bloody brutality.
“Bohemian Rhapsody”
This one is an all-around crowd pleaser made for fans that, much like Mercury himself, succeeds despite its flaws.
“Overlord”
Midnight B-movie fans should enjoy this blood-soaked, zombie-filled version of “Saving Private Ryan,” as long as they don’t go in expecting too much.
