“21 Bridges”
There is a police-sympathetic message here, and the argument isn’t presented unfairly in dialogue, although it also comes almost as an afterthought far too late to carry any weight.
“Avengers: Infinity War”
If you take away only one thing from this review, make it this: you will not be disappointed with this movie.
“Black Panther”
Let’s hope Hollywood will listen and put more people of color both in heroic roles in front of the camera and in creative roles behind it.
“Marshall”
It’s a bit of a joy to see a black history movie that’s not about the horrors of slavery and one where the stereotypical “white savior” doesn’t swoop in to save the day.
