There isn’t a lot of new ground covered and every tired rom-com checkbox is ticked, but this harmless little film still manages to feel fresh, is thoroughly delightful, and delivers pleasant, affable entertainment.

“Thoroughbreds”
The majority of this film is pretty fantastic. Too bad the director had to go and nearly spoil it all with a tacked on, irrelevant epilogue.
“Death Wish”
The story is captivating and the resolution satisfying. But is this pro-gun, heroic vigilante scenario irresponsible? Yes and no.
“The Strangers: Prey at Night”
If you’re looking for a film that effectively delivers scares and suspense (and doesn’t skip on the gore), you could do worse.
“The Hurricane Heist”
It’s even worse than the worst SyFy Channel original movie. It makes “Geostorm” look like “Citizen Kane.”
“A Wrinkle in Time”
Disney’s “A Wrinkle In Time” is the latest in yet another string of culturally relevant message movies, but with a heaping helping of glittering ambition and magic.
