Movies are our religion and the theater our church. Our gods are named Tarantino, Anderson and Scorsese.
We attend services 3-4 times a week and take our communion in the form of soda and popcorn. We offer up these reviews in hopes of pleasing our deities.

“Velvet Buzzsaw”
Despite a fantastic turn from Gyllenhaal, the film is an unfunny, unsuccessful, elitist spoof about what happens when art and commerce collide, and it’s one that will be lost on most.
“Alita: Battle Angel”
Calling the film visionary would seem appropriate, with its flawless animation and unique, wide-eyed look for its main character.
“What Men Want”
The film accurately portrays what it’s like to be a hardworking woman in a man’s world, and it does so with a goofy grace and playfulness that’s contagious.
“The Kid Who Would Be King”
The film recalls the heyday of the PG-appropriate adventures from the mid-80s.
