With mediocre CGI, forced acting, and sluggish pacing, almost everything about this monster movie is painfully dull.

Dragging out this drab “Star Wars” rip-off into two parts is excessive, but hopefully the second installment will fare better.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”
Jason Mamoa’s charisma and amiability are thoroughly squandered here, which is probably the biggest of the film’s many disappointments.
